How it works
The declaration is filed at your commune; the integration evidence decides the route.
Five years of legal residence plus three proofs: economic participation, social integration and A2 in Dutch, French or German. The 10-year route asks for lighter integration evidence.
The fee is €1,000, raised from €150 in 2025 and indexed.
The 2025–2029 coalition plans a citizenship test, B1 instead of A2, and the regional language. The sources we checked do not confirm these changes as enacted, so we check the law again before you file.
