Since 1 June 2025 the employer files the application only through the online ICT system. The permit is issued for up to 3 years, and it is refused if the occupation appears on the regional list set by the starosta.

New Act of 20 March 2025 in force from 2025-06-01: applications filed by the employer only via the ICT system (electronically); permit refused if the occupation is on a regional list set by the starosta (Art. 31). Pay must not be below the minimum wage in the cases specified by the Act.

How it works

What the 2025 Act changed

Paper filing is gone, and the region can now close an occupation.

Online filing and a 3-year cap

The Act of 20 March 2025 moved filing to the ICT system, and only the employer can file. The permit is issued for a fixed term of up to 3 years (Art. 15).

Regional lists and minimum pay

Article 31 lets the starosta list occupations for which permits are refused in the region. Pay must not be below the minimum wage in the cases the Act specifies.

We check the regional list for the workplace before the employer files.
